Man!!! What can I say about Marc Griffin that anyone who has come in contact with him doesn't already know? The man is truly fabulous, not just for the work he does for you, but also for the mannerism in which he does it. Marc is awesome!! I can go on and on about how great he is, but I won't. Instead, I'll just tell you MY family's story and let YOU decide.
My husband and I were living in an apartment that, like most apartments, seemed to constantly find new ways and new fees to drain us of our money. We unquestionably made the decision that we would no longer invest our money into someone else's pot. It was time to invest in ourselves. It was time to buy our first home. We asked around and acquired a realtor through a family friend, and this guy turned out to be the WORST. He gave us the run around for over a year. He never returned phone calls, never answered any of our questions, never provided us with access to any listings, wasn't available to help us with the ones we found on our own… the list goes on and on. We actually started looking to buy a home a year before our lease was up. We thought that would be plenty of time, but by the time our end of lease came around, our then realtor, told us to just keep extending month to month because it would take a couple more months. My husband and I were infuriated. Not only had we wasted a year with this guy, he was getting ready to string us along longer. It was no question this was not the guy for us. But we were 1st time home buyers and had no clue what to do or where to go from there. Then I remembered this guy I'd talked to a couple months back. My husband and I had so many home buying questions and no one to talk to and decided to call this guy, Marc Griffin. First thing Marc asked was if we were already being represented by a realtor… because it is to my understanding that according to some code of ethics, realtors are not to "steal" clients from each other. I told him that my husband and I had already established a realtor but just had some questions. Marc explained to me that he could not do any realtor work for us as long as we were working with someone else, but that he would be more than happy to answer any questions as best he could… and he did… with a smile. So when the time came to find a new realtor, the choice seemed obvious. My husband and I figured if this guy was willing to help even when he wouldn’t be acquiring our services, what would he be willing to do if he was? So we gave Marc a call and explained to him our current situation…. We were renting month to month @ $1300+ in an apartment that was falling apart and making our children sick, my husband was due to leave in less than 24hrs for 2 weeks, and we needed to buy a home ASAP because we did NOT want to live in that complex one more month. Marc's only reply was, "How soon can you get here?" He was absolutely amazing. He worked with us all evening, way past his "business hours" to get our paperwork started and the ball rolling. We explained to him that we were hoping to be out of our apartment in 30 days and his words were, "I won't promise you'll be out in 30 days, but I promise I'll do my best." Long story short, my husband left the following day for 2 weeks, and when he returned, he returned to a house in negotiation. He gave his stamp of approval, Marc worked his magic, and the following week we were handed the keys to our new home. Marc had done in LESS than 30 days what our previous realtor hadn't done in over a year. To top it off our home is FABULOUS!! You'd think with as quickly as we had to move we'd only be able to find something we had to "settle" for. But our home is truly perfect. It had ALL the things we wanted and MORE!! All we could say was "Marc YOU DA MAN!!" And that my friends is the honest to GOD truth!!! Since then, Marc has stayed in constant contact with us to answer any questions we may have had to come up and he sends us newsletters to keep us updated with home buying, selling, financing, renovation… all sorts of tips. We plan to upgrade within the next few years and my husband and I both agree it would be asinine, absolutely idiotic to go to ANYONE but MARC GRIFFIN… DA MAN!!!!! Thank you SO much Marc.
